Art Donation Raises over $15,000
Mary Lou Johns’s watercolor painting, “Winter Hike” was selected to promote the Phantom Ranch Ball. This fundraiser supports the non-profit Colorado Open Lands. The original painting was raffled to donors who purchased tickets. One eager art and open land lover purchased 40 tickets!
Katherine Raffio, Summit County Community Liaison reported, “As of today the event has raised more than $15,000, a true testament to the beauty of your work! Thank you so much for your donation, people really love this event and obviously loved your painting.”
Congratulations to Emily Wahl whose work is included in the 2021 Colorado Watercolor Society's State Exhibition. The show is open from April 6 to May 24th at The Galleries Gilpin County Arts Association at 117 Eureka Street, Central City, CO 80427.
